On Monday, December 22, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at a residence, 300 SE Fawn Glen in Lake City and subsequently arrested a local man on multiple charges relating to internet crimes against children.

On Wednesday, December 10, at approximately 3:30 pm, the deceased inmate’s next of kin was notified by CCSO detectives.
n Wednesday, December 10, at 4:50 am, an inmate at the Columbia County Detention Facility was found unresponsive in their cell. Detention personnel began CPR and alerted EMS, who transported the subject to Lake Shore Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
