On Tuesday, May 5, the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office announced the dates for its two summer mobile day camps for kids ages 8-13.
CCSO is proud to once again partner with the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches to provide two mobile day camps in the county; one at Richardson Middle School July 20-24 and the other at Fort White High School June 29-July 3.
These free camps, appropriately called “Harmony in the Streets” provide a fun filled week of education and excitement for the children. Some of the activities include archery, team sports, arts and crafts, educational demos, snacks and lunch, games and so much more.
The camp leaders are your CCSO School Resource Deputies and members of the Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches staff. These camps are funded by the Sheriff’s Office with many of the activities and meals donated by local businesses.
Each of the camps can have up to 60 participants, so register your child as soon as possible. The registration forms are at the schools and can be turned in there or at the Sheriff’s Office Operations building at 4917 US Hwy 90 E.
