Three Arrested on Meth Charges
On August 12, 2012, Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested three persons on drug charges.
Deputies were attempting to serve an arrest warrant at 306 S.W. Sunset Way. Deputies did not locate the subject with the warrant but did however discover methamphetamine. Deputies found a clandestine methamphetamine laboratory in the master bathroom of the home. Deputies further discovered various chemicals and paraphernalia used in the manufacture and consumption of methamphetamine throughout the residence. Deputies also discovered additional chemicals hidden in a wooded area behind the home.
The Columbia County Multi Jurisdictional Task Force assisted the Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division with the containment and safe removal of the hazardous chemicals from the home.
Deputies arrested three people at the home and took them into custody without incident. The three suspects were transported to the Columbia County Detention Facility and booked on narcotics charges.
