Task Forces Siezes Meth Lab
On Monday, February 14, 2012, the Columbia County Multi Jurisdictional Task Force seized materials used in the clandestine production of methamphetamine.
Detectives served a search warrant at 247 NE Old Jacksonville Loop, Lake City, FL. Detectives located ingredients and paraphernalia consistent with the manufacture of methamphetamine. Though the meth lab was not actively making methamphetamine at the moment the detectives arrived, enough materials were present to easily restart production. The home is located directly next door to a day care center.
Two occupants of the home were arrested without incident and booked into the Columbia County Detention Facility.
The Columbia County Multi Jurisdictional Task Force is comprised of detectives from the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office, Lake City Police Dept, Florida Dept of Law Enforcement and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
